I'm new to raising chickens, I just picked up 7 chicks on Friday, I have 4 buff Orpingtons and 3 easter Eggers. So far it's a lot of fun! They're so cute and I'm excited to watch them grow up :)
This week or the next I'll be building them a coop to move into when they are big enough, but for now they're in a big cardboard box in the Garage with all the fixings
I've been lurking here for months while I was doing the research on raising back yard chickens, so I look forward to posting and being a part of the community here!
 
I'm new here too, should have my chicks in the next few days. Welcome to the family!

I'm sure you're going to have lots of fun with your chicks, and you'll find many friendly, helpful people here if you need advice or just want to share pics and stories of your chickens.
