My name is Heather. I am in the process of buying a farm in Waddy, KY (18.8 acres). I'm super excited to start the farm off with chickens! The farm has a preexisting chicken coop with a large fenced in (on 3 sides) area. What do I need to it before I put new chickens in?

If you can post some photos (not sure if you have any yet) of the structure and enclosure we would be better able to advise what, if anything, would need to be done to get it ready for keeping your new flock in. This would allow us to assess how secure it is against predation and whether there is any housekeeping that needs to be done.
