Did I just get the birds and bees talk people mention? :p

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

If you haven't yet, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it! :D

We have windows that we keep wide open everyday (and a chicken door) while they free range. We also have barn doors that we open when the weather is lovely. Thanks for the heads up!

Good to know because I just took way too many pictures of our Buckeye that occasionally comes in to lounge on the couch and socialize (yes, she has her own special blanket...cringe). Can't wait to rant about how she wants to be our dog and the dog is jealous of the chickens and frequently tries to go and peck scratch with them. Our household is a little topsy turvy. I feel comfortable confessing that here...and only here!
