Hi I’m Katie! I’m a momma of two crazy toddlers and we live in currituck North Carolina! I have falling in love with incubating and I’m working on my second batch! I hatched my first set of eggs and got two great chickens, but then a critter got them. So we are trying again and I also have two silkies babies that were given to me!!

Please check out the predator threads to learn ways to safeguard your flock. Once preds get an easy meal they will keep coming back until all are gone. Silkies are especially vulvernable since their big crest and beards obscure their vision, and their silkie feathered wings aren't much for flying.
