Hi y’all!

Just joined the other day. Very excited to find an online community of other fowl lovers.

I’m brand new to owning chickens. I have a chick flock of seven. There are four bantams (I think Old English breed), two Amberlinks, and one Barred Rock. Three are sexed as pullets and rest will be a surprise. Lol

Thanks for having such a great and informative community! I look forward to sharing a lot.

Oh sweetie... no no no.. we are not a group of fowl lovers... we are Crazy Chicken People..... We will beg for pics of your flock, we will show you pics of our flock, we will talk you into getting MORE chickens... and talk you into hatching your own from eggs... we are complete and total chicken enablers... so run!!!

It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...-there-and-cut-more-holes-in-your-coop.47774/) Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!

I went to take a picture this morning of the flock. My Barred Rock was sitting on top of the feeder. That was new! Lol

If you haven't already, fix up a top for their brooder...those little rascals can fly short distances (as in, out of the brooder) at a young age.
