Hi Everyone! I’m new to BYC and am excited to connect with others who love chickens. I am a wildlife rehabilitatior but this is my first experience with chicks. I only have a couple or chicks currently (partridge silkie and mystery bantam) but have gotten about 10 in the past month who have been given away. I got all of my guys from the feed store because I’m a big softie and wanted to save the little ones getting trampled or who were sick. Needless to say I learned about chicken antibiotics very quickly I am excited to meet everyone and hope someone can help me determine the sex of my guys (well, the mystery bantam). Hope ya’ll have a rest day!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
