Hello everyone. I’m Jordan. Andy and I have had a small flock of chickens since October. We started with 5 red sex links but we currently have 4. One of our girls was attacked on 2 different occasions by a hawk. We were able to see her up the first time but she wasn’t as lucky the second attack I am an elementary teacher in Virginia. We have one dog, jax, who still hasn’t made friends with the girls and a baby due in about 3 weeks.

I joined backyard chickens to get advice from seasoned chicken owners/lovers. I currently have a post in the emergency section because one of our girls has a swollen check and we are not sure what we need to do to help her. If you could look at that post we would really appreciate any advice and help!
