That’s cool! What do you think of this winter weather? I think we will take a pounding in March or April.
Our lovely chickens won’t be free range, unfortunately. All three of our farm cats take rodent control pretty seriously. One of them managed to catch, kill, bring home their trophy rabbit about a month ago. Kid you not, the rabbit was bigger than our cats. We may find down the road that the cats won’t bother them. If that’s the case, we’d only have to coop them up at night. That would make us really happy.Hello Carla
Welcome to BYC.
How do you think your killer cat is going to react to the chickens?
This is such a precious picture. I’ll share some young love pictures as well. My daughter doesn’t care what kind of critter it is. She will make it another one of her pets.View attachment 1643991
Wow, now that's an introduction! I was a late starter in life as well, married at 37, first and only baby at 40. But I fortunately do not suffer your health problems... I'm sorry you have to go through all that. My husband is a disabled army veteran and it's our dream as well to move out to the country... just like your neighborhood cat... sounds like you've made her dream come true! I think chickens will be a marvelous addition to your life! They are probably one of the best forms of therapy. Here's my 4 yr old daughter with our first chickens:
