So, my name is Rachel! I’m super excited to be apart of this amazing group! I am fairly new to chickens as I bought my first pullets last year! Over this year I have ensured many struggles but it has been so rewarding! I currently have 8 laying hens. Barred rock and RIR. Also I have chicks in the brooder I got a few weeks ago which are bantam Cochins. I also have a satin frizzle who is my favorite!

I have gotten more excited with my chickens and decided this year I would start hatching other breeds! I have my first set of silkie hatching eggs in the incubator now on day two and a very nice pair of partridge silkies on their way!

I absolutely adore my chickens because of the beauty of the bird as well as the productivity from them! They keep our big populations down and are quite sociable creatures too!

Aside from my chickens we spend a lot of time preparing for 4-h fairs and Jr rodeos with the kiddos. I am due to be married next month to the man of my dreams where we combine two families into one giving us a total of 6 kids from ages 10-2! Around our crazy home we have 3 dogs, tons of cows, and horses! My fiancé breaks and trains horses!
