(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
A total newbee. I bought a rooster and 5 hens in July of 2018.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

The original rooster and 10 hens. A bantam rooster was an unsolicited
donation by a neighbor.
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Sex-links, 1 Ameracana, 2 black with iridescent green in their back feathers, 1 white with black speckles on her neck and black tips to her tail feathers, 1 black and silver, 1 rust colored with black specks, 1 white, 1 Bard Rock. A real mix of unknowns. LOL
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Fresh eggs of course. Watching them interact. Trying to capture something of life long ago in a far away land.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, software, woodworking, firearms, hydroponics
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Happy marriage 55 yrs this june. 4 kids. 3 cats. Both retired.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

Found you when searching on DuckDuckGo for chicken info. Decided to join to help share the journey.

Some of those breeds already sound really familiar from your descriptions, but without seeing comb, certain feather patterns and leg colors it's hard to tell for sure. If you post pics of all your birds (individual if possible) in this other forum:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/what-breed-or-gender-is-this.15/
I'm sure lots of folks could tell you what you have.

Best wishes with your flock and enjoy those eggs!!
