I'm a new member and live in the UK. I've lost count of how many times I have been on the BYC website for help and advice over the last 12 months or so, so decided to join.
I've had chickens now for about 18 months and absolutely adore them. I was so humbled when one of them first laid an egg. I started with six of them; a black Sexlink, a Maran, two RIR and a RIR cockerel and a white Sussex chicken. Then last September a blue Bantam cockerel appeared in our garden and he stayed. Sadly I lost my beautiful Sexlink, Hetty, on 29th January and I was gutted. I also have problems now with my RIR Cockerel, Harry, which I will post in the other section. Anyway, I live in a beautiful little hamlet with 6 acres of land and have 3 ponies, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a husband, along with my chickens. My chickens free range and roam where they want, which I love and so do they. So hello to everyone and thanks for reading
