Hi, I'm Kelley, and I live in Central Texas with my daughter who is a high school senior this year, our 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 7 chickens.

Katie came home a few months ago with a Production Red hen she found roaming the streets, and of course we had to get her some buddies. 3 cochins (2 buffs and a red) and 3 silkie's (2 blues and a splash?). Ruby is not a fan of the littles. The groups are separated until pullets are big enough.

I love watching the birds and the sounds they make. Eggs are a bonus! I am considering breeding silkies, but have much to learn before that step.

I have known about BYC for a few years due to miscellaneous studying (self directed. It is a great source of information.
