Hi there!
If you couldn't tell already, I'm new here, and I can't wait to be a part of this community! My family and I are huge lovers of all types of birds/poultry. We live in Australia a few hours from the nearest city so we don't have a full on farm like I know a lot of you guys do, but we have a pretty big backyard with flocks of chickens, ducks, turkeys and quails. I'm a student at a selective high school in the city so life can get pretty hectic between school, homework and birds. I joined Backyard Chickens to hopefully learn a few tricks and tips on keeping birds to hopefully make life a bit easier for us and better for them!
I can't wait to talk to everyone and learn new things on this great website!

Aaa thank you!! I don't have any photos right now and I just put them all in their huts for the night but I'll be sure to take some photos tomorrow.

As for what types of chickens I have -
I believe most of the chickens are rhode island reds but the breeder never told us when we first bought the oldest ones as eggs. I'm certain we have a few welsummers and we have one australorp roo and two white leghorns.
