Hi! I am brand new to raising chickens! I've wanted them for years, but we finally started our first flock! 4 Australorps! Hopefully, all pullets, as advertise! Starting small, but I'm sure our flock will expand a bit after we get going. I handle the chicks daily and amazing hoping they will get used to me that way. They are a week to 10 days old, I believe. They will be "the girls" to us, so just egg layers, no meat birds. So excited to get the coop going!

Welcome! I've been a chicken momma for 6-1/2 months. We live in town & have 2 lovely silver-laced Wyandottes. This website will be your "go to" as your girls grow. There are lots of opinions but read everything you can & then do what feels best for you & your girls. You're going to have a blast with those little fluff balls. Here they are, Louise & Mildred.
