Hi! My name is Jodi.

I have 3 Rhode Island Red Hens. I got them about 3 years ago, and they were a year old when they joined our family. This spring we got 2 White Plymouth Rocks , 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks, 2 Amber Whites, and 2 Black Sexlinks (though only 1 made it) chicks.

I love the unique personality of each of my chickens and love watching them forage in the yard and garden. They are so entertaining! I love fresh eggs too!

My husband and I have 4 kids, 2 cats, and a dog, in addition to our ladies. We have about an acre and are carving out our little piece of homestead in the city.

I've lurked on Backyard chickens for a few years now but decided to join to ask a question about a stray chicken that might be joining our family.

I'm excited to be part of the community!
