(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I have had chickens off and on since 2005, in Spokane, WA. I had 3 white leghorn hens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 13 chickens: 7 hens that are laying and 6 pullet chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Orpington Blue, 1 White leg horn, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 6 Barred Rocks and 3 Asian Blacks
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I get to watch them go after bugs and collect eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Cooking, gardening, walking, reading
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband is disabled, I work for the Department of Homeland Security. We have a Border Collie, a Russian Blue cat, a black domestic cat and a Egyptian Mau.
