Hello. I’ve been reading this sight for a little while. We decided to get quail. So far so good. Have gotten them 5 plus weeks. Have 5 females and 3 males. The girls and boys are separated.
I am excited for egg production and future hatching. We will be raising them for eggs and meet. Aside from the birds, we have 3 dogs, 2 cats, various fish, a tree frog, a salamander, and live in an old cabin in the woods which comes with mischievous mice and chipmunks who keep eating my insulation and plumbing.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Try stuffing stainless steel wool around all gaps in your plumbing/electrical penetrations into the house and make sure you have good threshold sweeps under all the doors to help keep the rodents out.
