Hi all! I've been a non-member lurker for several years and decided to finally join! We got our first 4 chickens several years ago in the city. They were "hand me down" and we kept them for a summer before harvesting them. We are now in the country on 5 acres and raised our first flock of 8 birds over 2020. One was an unexpected Roo which we rehomed. We're waiting on our next batch of chicks and will soon have a flock of 20 birds! We are needing to build a new henhouse so Im info gathering! I have a mixed flock with some heritage breeds and some hybrid. Our goal is EGGS!
