In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've been around chickens since as long as I can remember!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 10 chickens right now. (Planning to get more after winter)
(3) What breeds do you have?
3 barred rocks, 4 black sex links, and 3 old bantams!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
It's super rewarding and fun. They'll follow me around when I'm holding a bag of treats and It's always a treat to find eggs in their nest boxes.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love gardening, horse-back riding, sewing, drawing, and hunting once in a while.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live in Northern Idaho with my family. I have a german shorthair pointer named Ezra and I have two horses named Holly and Mason. In the future I would LOVE to get a green-cheek conure. I think until then, I would love to have some kind of pet fish.
Here is a picture of one of my bantams, Chip. She's an old lady. I think she could be an Olandsk Dwarf but I'm unsure. This picture was taken in the summer before I moved from Washington to Idaho.
Here's another picture. This one's of my horse, Mason. This was also taken in washington.
