As far as climate...all of us agree that heat is way worse than cold. When it comes to cold, some provide heat and others don't. I provide heat when it gets into the single digits, but not before then. I like radiant heat....it is very safe

So I can monitor the temps and set when the heating panel kicks on, but i don't want to disrupt the chickens ability to weather the season naturally. I know leghorns are on the smaller side compared to rhode island reds or orpingtons so i don't know if I set the heater on sooner.
