Hi everyone!
I received my first 2 chicks in 2022 from my dd's preschool class. We now have 8 chickens from 2.5ys to 8 months in age. Wyandottes, Easter Eggers and Sussex. I love to watch and chat with the chickens, which my husband and 4 kids find very entertaining ;-) I love gardening both flowers and edibles, and keeping chickens has brought me one step closer to living a "farm life".

I have read BYC articles and threads many times over the past few years, but finally joined today bc one of my chickens seems unwell, and I have no idea what to do! So thankful for all the wonderful people on here and their willingness to help each other!

So I feel the need to clarify. I love to garden both flowers and "plants we can eat from" (eg Tomatoes, corn, beans, okra, greens, herbs etc). I just realized what else the term "edibles" might refer to.
