1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. We have had chickens for roughly six weeks now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently we have 15 chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have several Wyandottes (silver and gold-laced), we also have some Black Jersey Giants and Black Australorps.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They have been so much fun so far. They are great to watch and have been so much fun.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading and sewing. I have been doing a LOT of reading about raising the chickens and it has been fascinating!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a family of four and we have a couple of cats and a couple of dogs and are just enjoying the time we get to share with each of our pets (we include the chickens in the "pet" category).
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I heard about this forum on one of the many YouTube channels I have been watching about chickens.
