I've been reading on the site for a little bit but just joined. I'm a new chicken mom, 2 1/2 weeks. I have 2 buff cochins, 2 true green whitings, and 2 blue andalusians. My family is in the process of building a family homestead and the chickens will fit right in. I also have a lazy dog and a cat that thinks she's a dog. Im looking forward to learning a lot of new things here! My hobbies outside of "chicken farming" are pottery, walking, and reading.

There are tons of articles written by our members about raising chicks and chickens, and something there might be helpful to you. If you ever have questions though, just head to the Forums tab, find the right topic, and post away!
