Hello everyone,
I live in NE Ohio and just recently started raising chickens. I bought a mated pair of Lavender Orpingtons and soon there after one of my elderly customers called and gave me her 3 easter eggers. I just happened to find this site while looking up info about chickens. I have gotten a lot of good ideas and info already!!! I got talked into buying the Orp's by my oldest, she said she wanted to have some chickens and we both agreed with the Orpington breed because we love the way they look! So after convincing the Wife and doing a little behind the back dealings we started!! Since than the we became an I, and I am not mad. I am hooked big time!! I really enjoy taking care of the birds and get a big kick watching them and learning their different personalities. Anyway... Thanks BYC for allowing me on the site, and hope to make some new friendes and learn some new things!!!
