I am new here. Raised some chickens several years ago. Then had none.
After three years of looking over McMurray hatchery catalog, I finally ordered the, "Ornamental Layer Assortment," as well as 3 Red Caps, 1 lakenvelder and 2 Silver Hanburgs. I already had 9 barred rock chicks, so with the 50+ ones I ordered, there are quite a few different varieties.
I've spent hours trying to figure out what breeds they are. All I know is I have about 11 different breeds.
Anyway, I love having a place to come and ask questions and to read information about chickens.

If you want some help with identifying the breeds, post pictures in What breed or gender is this, and you should be able to get more opinions. It's actually pretty fun just sitting and watching them though. Enjoy the site, see you round.
