So I guess I will get right to the point...My name is Christina, I live in Terra Nova, Ontario. I have had chickens for about a year now but grew up with them. My flock includes 1. Molly my Plymouth Barred Rock hen. 2. Shadow my Americana bantam hen 3. Suzie my Partridge bantam hen and the newest and most handsome member is Gordon Lightfoot my Silverlace Wyndotte bantam cockerel. I wasn't actually looking to have just bantams but it seemed to end up that way.
I have two coops in a 40ftX40ft fenced inclosure. The first one I bought and is 12ftX5ft Triangle shape with 3ft of nesting box and the rest is open. The second is just a regular shed that my hubby built for me but is mainly used when we have meat birds for the summer. My flock free ranges so they don't spend a lot of time in the coop.
I plan on showing Gordon Lightfoot at the GNE Collingwood fair this Sept 23rd so wish me luck cause I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to showing birds
