They're Hovabators, and there are several different types. But the best of all the styrofoam hovabators is the 1588: https://www.gqfmfg.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=77

It's also the most expensive of those, but it's completely digital. There's also a less expensive version that's very similar except it's not digital called the 1583: https://www.gqfmfg.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=76

I just found an incubator for $42.99, without the automatic turner. The 'add on' is $39.99. That brings up my total to $82.98!!! A lot cheaper than some other options I have found... Is a fan necessary?

Fans aren't necessary, but you usually have better hatch rates in a circulated incubator.

Oh. So are still air incubators bad? Becaus that is what this one is...

No, not bad and in fact, if you're just doing one hatch then they're all right. But still airs tend to have cold spots and are more easily influenced by the temperature of the room they're located in, among other things, which can result in lower hatch rates.

The incubator is going to be in my garage, (mom won't give up any other part of the house!) which will probably be good with the still air incubator.. Thanks for all your help!

My mom and I are going to consider getting chicks instead of hatching eggs, because hatching eggs seems.. Well, what if I get all boys? What if none hatch? I really got to thinking... Anyway, does anyone know a good place to get chicks in New Mexico ONLY? Because don't think mom is up for a drive to Florida!
