Only this year have I started to own one chicken, and I have found it to be an interesting experience so far. I find chickens and pheasants in general to be interesting birds, and I find it interesting to see escaped chickens when travelling. I will consider looking around here for a while.
 
Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm a chicken person & don't know much about pheasants (never had any), but you might want to connect with our pheasant section under Other Backyard Poultry on the forum icon at the top of the page. What kind of chickens do you have?
 
Michael OShay: I own one hen. I am not sure of its breed; it was donated to me by some relatives who found it unaccompanied as a chick among their other chickens. It is black with a green sheen and a streaky yellow ring around its neck.

If you would like her breed identified for you, just post a pic of her (full body profile showing legs and tail) and maybe we can ID her for you. Good luck.
