Hello

Quote: Please see above quote from two crows, I quoted him from post # 2 above. He correctly stated that 2 roosters is too many for 5 hens and that the roosters can hurt your hens by over mating. Again, you either need to isolate one rooster from the rest of the flock or get rid of it. Sounds a bit harsh but it is a reality. Good luck

You are most welcome and again don't hesitate to ask questions here at BYC. We are not here to belittle anyone. We are here to help. I'm new myself and I learn new things everyday. We all have something in common ( we love raising chickens, ducks, turkeys, quail and a host of other birds and animals ). Again, good luck with your flock.

My apologies two crows. I wrongly assumed you were a male. I will say that I have seen many of your responses in the forum and they are right on.
TwoCrows is actually a "her.' :o)
Please keep up the good work and again sorry. Thanks for setting me straight Michael.

Don't sweat it. :o) I didn't know either until recently. I often avoid using any gender when referring to many other BYC members because I can't tell by their user names what gender they are. With other members, it's obvious in their user names.

Are you going to have a hen do your hatching or the incubator ....

This is a hands free and easy way to do the job .......

This takes practice and properly set up ...

And you need to check this set up regularly .....

If you don't know what you are doing you will feel like this ...........

Enjoy all your poultry ventures

My hens will not lay on the eggs for some reason!!! Not sure if it is because i immediately take the eggs out or if they just plain out don't want to do it!!
