Yes Black Australorps make great pets! I currently only have one, and I really hope it's a hen and not a roo. If it is a hen, it isn't laying yet and if it's a roo it isn't crowing yet. They look really nice with all their blues and greens on their otherwise all black feathers.

My Black Australorp is about four months old. This is my first year with a variety of breeds and only just my second year with poultry as pets. I am still learning a lot, including documenting age. I was just so excited to have different kinds of pets that I didn't write down stuff I should have.
