We live in oakley ca. 3 is the limit. We have found a good livestock retailer with good information and good help. Any suggestions please let me know

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! My first suggestion would be for you drop by the learning centre. It has lots of articles on raising chicks and all the help for when they become adult birds https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center
If you don't want a roo I would also suggest you get already sexed chcks.
Wishing you all the very best of luck with this new chicken adventure. Be sure to ask any questions you have, everyone here to help and very friendly :frow

I'm glad you joined our BYC "flock"!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

I would recommend buff orpingtons or you. They are quiet, calm, friendly, great layers and docile
