I wormed all the new goats when I got them a month ago and then put them on the semi-annual worming with the rest of my goats.... It won't be a full 6 mths between since I'm due to worm in December....
When I feed them goat food, it's Durmoor brand from TSC and I give about 8 cups (4 cups of pellets; 4 cups of sweet goat), and I had 7 goats (3 prego does)... I have 4 feeders that I put the feed in....
All the hay they can eat and on the weekends that we work in the yard and cut branches, they get leaves, grass clippings, and of course veggie scraps... My goats roam a very large fenced in barn area with about 20/25 ducks/chickens/guineas....
So to say they never get scratch grain is not realistic... I don't put out feeders for the birdies since I learned early on that the goats would clean out the feeders... now I just go out twice a day and throw down some chick food and scratch.... I've seen a couple of the goats nibble on the ground where the scratch has fallen....
My big wether's favorite is french fries and he gets them mostly on the weekends when I take DD out and about with me... she loves to hide a few just so she can "tease" Newt into dancing for her....
