When I first read the title I thought maybe a lash egg, but I don’t think that’s it, it looks and sounds and IS a soft shelled egg. There are two reasons for this, and don’t worry it’s completely normal! Your girl is a new layer so her body is still learning how to make eggs, hence her laying a soft shelled or “shelless” egg. No worries, perfectly normal and you might see more, other eggs you’ll see are, super tiny “fairy” eggs, And double Yorkers, don’t worry this is all normal for a new layer
