HELP!!! 1 month old peachick

I have a 1 month old peachick in a brooder on our closed in back porch. Is it to young to put out in a 3' by 10' pen up off the ground inside the covered part of the peafowl aviary? Days are 80 to 90 and in the 50's, 60's at night. I have lights on it now and will also outside. I figure it won't be as lonesome with older chicks and peafowl around it. Should it have warmth at 75 to 80 degrees at that age? Thanks much!!!

Just in case I would put a light out there for it and if it wants to get near the light it can. When I moved some peachicks outside and they where still kinda small I put a light up next to the perch so at night they could get next to the light and get warm.

Did you use a red light or just plain light? I also have the yellow bug lights. This pen is pretty neat .... I have 2 lights hanging above that I can raise higher or lower. One is over the roost and other over the area where I lay a mat so cold doesn't come up from beneath through the wire. Told my husband I may need to sleep out there with it the first night because it will be so frightened, LOL!!! He said he would doubt it but I was just kidding. Thanks much for the reply.

My new chick is just under 8 weeks old, and she will need heat for at least another 2 months. Little "KC" is living in the sunroom with a heat lamp and will probably stay there all winter. I'll be getting her a friend, another late hatch little hen. I've never incubated peas, but am going on what I do for chicken chicks from the feed store. They don't have enough body mass to survive 50s at night, so I'll make a red heat lamp available to KC until she lets me know she doesn't need it any more. We're crazy, aren't we?

My husband thinks I've lost my mind, LOL!!! KC is a peachick? I think the peachicks do better then chicken chicks once they have their wing feathers because they have such big wings that wrap their bodies keeping them warm. I did have 2 chicken chicks as company for my peachick but after a week returned them to the friend that gave them to me. It's said peafowl catch chicken diseases they can't handle and can die. I became concerned I could be infecting all my peafowl once I moved them to the aviary. Also not set up for chickens. Made me feel really bad to take little peachicks company away. I do think it's depressed.....loves to see me when I spend time with it. You know they sell diapers for birds....we could always purchase some and bring them inside, LOL!!! My husband would have a fit, hahaha!!!! Regarding heat....I'm sure this one will have it available all winter too. Next year I'm going to try to let the moms raise their own babies. Have a Spalding peahen with her 4 Emerald Spaldings chicks ..... that's the way to go. She's a great mom and will keep them warm under her body and wings.
