So, to begin with, I have three hens, they are all hybrids, and one of those hens just suddenly seem to have a red eye on the left, shes closes her eye frequently, but otherwise, she's perfectly fine. Not to mention, she was recently broody, which I didn't expect, and y'know, broody hens don't lay, she quit being broody on may 15th, but up until now she still won't lay, but I stopped giving them laying feed and only fed them grass, since I'm a lazy person I decided not to buy them laying feed for a while. And she lost A LOT of feathers, and I know it's not due to molting, since she's only 13 months old. but I already know the cause of that and she stopped losing feathers, I just wanted to say that. So about the eye, her eyes are like a yellowish color I guess? When I went outside to release them from their coop, I saw her left eye half shut and was RED. I took her from the coop and carried her, when I picked up her her left eye was completely shut, but the other eye looked perfectly normal and was open. But again, she doesn't look sick at all, she still acts the mightiest out of all the hens, its just her eye thats... different.

Ive been spending lots of time researching about things such as: How to treat red eyes in chickens? Why are my chickens eyes red? etc.. But I just found things such as, conjunctivitis, Infectious coryza, Mansons eye worm, and blah blah blah. But the symptoms that each sickness I found online had didnt appear to occur with my hen, to be honest, all I want is to get rid of that red eye of hers, so what do I do? should I flush her eye with water or something? take her to the vet? buy some vetrx? Or if you think that my hen has a disease, please tell me the name of the disease!

Can you post a picture of the red eye? It is possible that she was pecked in the eye or had an internal eye injury from a hemmorrhage that has caused this. If you can see a vet, that would be best. Eye drops or an antibiotic eye drop might be helpful.

sorry for the late response, I had problems with logging in and stuff so I had to register with a new email. And there's no need for a photo anymore, her eye is perfect now. After 3 days, her eye was magically perfect somehow lol. Thanks for replying.:p
