HELP!! 1 yo turkey Tom w/ dark green diarrhea

My turkey Tom is sleeping a lot during the day and has dark green diarrhea. He eats layer feed and gets watermelon, cantelope and sunflower seeds for treats. Housed with ducks. What could be going on? Please help!!

My turkey Tom is sleeping a lot during the day and has dark green diarrhea. He eats layer feed and gets watermelon, cantelope and sunflower seeds for treats. Housed with ducks. What could be going on? Please help!!

Layer feed is inappropriate for male turkeys. The excessive calcium in the feed can cause kidney disease in male fowl.

Get him some all flock feed and some hen turkeys for companionship. Turkeys are very social birds and do best with other turkeys for companions.

Stop the treats and let him get his internal systems under control..
