Found my one chick off to the side away from all 20 others. Realized hes limping badly cant really walk. Seems to have food in the crop but it's off to one side kinda.

When I flip him over the sore leg stays straight, doesnt bend. When hes laying down, the sore leg stays out to the side. He doesnt want to move at all. Not sure what to do.

I moved him into the brooder alone so he can rest.

Suggestions please!!

Is the leg able to bend, if you try gently? (He could be keeping it straight because it hurts, or because it really cannot bend.)

Thank you!

Update...he made it through the night. Leg is still splayed to the side. still not moving much at all.

Sorry about the chick.
It may have slipped tendon which is difficult to fix or possibly a leg bone deformity.
Does the joint feel flat at the back?

Hard to know if you will be able to fix it and even if you did if the bird will be able to support it's weight once it starts gaining weight to be processed.
