The title pretty much says it all. What should I do? I can see the beak moving against the membrane. Been like this at least 1 hr.

Editing to add - now that I have posted this, I may be seeing the tiniest perforation on the darker spot on the membrane. Just looked like a vein before, but as it is drying it is starting to look perforated.

I put a dab of coconut oil on the membrane. It has some blood staining on it. Doesn't seem to be actively bleeding though. Still seeing tiny beak movements.

Well, an already hatched chick took care of the situation and pecked a hole in the membrane. So, I guess we will see if it makes progress. I feel like there are veins in the membrane that need to be absorbed still.

Sorry for the delay - I had sick kids today.

Chick made it out safely on it's own overnight!
