Help! A dog attacked my hen!

I agree with ten chicks, it's probably a bruise. Just keep a close eye on it. Epsom salt soaks are also great for keeping infection out and pulling out any active infections. I swear by the stuff!

An Update:
Last night we proceeded to take out her stitches:

We first poured the iodine and water mixture over the wound. We sanitized a pair of small scissors and a pair tweezers by putting them in alcohol. Then we started to undo the stitches......

We only undid the ones that looked healed and left the rest of the stitches in.

Here is a pic of the part that we undid and saw that it was healed:

It looks great!

But then we undid the other side of the wound and it looked red and pussy:

What should we do about it???

Then we put some antibiotic ointment on the wound. We also put an herbal healing remedy on her. Then we cover it with gauze pads and wrapped it up in sports wrap so that she could not peck at the wound.

Is there anything else we should do???

Thanks!

Remove wrap if she cannot peck at area and leave wrap off or wrap loosely. I would like a little more air getting to wound, too much wrapping can keep in moisture and cause maceration of skin, which can promote bacteria growth, possibly remove with supervision for a couple of hours? Clean wounds at least twice daily using a peroxide(or similar product) flush(2 tsp in one cup warm water)stronger if smell or infection, apply antibiotic ointment, nothing ending in 'caine/cane"toxic to chickens.

If infection begins to increase, she made need antibiotics.

The only problem is that if we take the sports wrap off, she will peck at the wound and undo her stiches.

An Update: So last night we took your advice, ten chicks, and took off the sports wrap to give it air. When we took it off we saw that the green stuff was fading away! It has given us hope!

We put some more antibiotic ointment on the wound along with the iodine and water mixture. Then we put the sports wrap back on loosely.

Can you see how the green is going away?

Yea! she is lookin' good!

Alright!

Today she seemed a lot better! She tried to get out of her cardboard "home" by flying up and perching on the top! I reckoned she is recovering if she can do that!

We took out the last of the stitches and she is looking great!

We are wondering if we should put a chicken saddle on her before re-entering her into the flock? (So that they do not peck at the wound.)
Her is a picture of here:

BTW: It has been six days since the attack.
