Help a newbie out please!

Looks like a Golden Laced Wyandotte. It's a bit early to tell gender, but in another month or so you can post new pics and somebody should be able to tell you.

I think its a Gold laced with something else crossed in it 1-2 generations back. If its supposed to be pure GLW, then its a horrible example. No offense intended I'm sure she will serve you well for eggs though. See my page for what a GLW looks like at her age.

What in particular makes her a bad example? We got them from a lady that sells chickens. She has 3 acres of nothing but pens of different chickens. She didn't speak English very well so I couldn't understand exactly what kind of birds we were getting!
