Help a sick leg horn hen

Help!! I went out to check on my chickens and on of my white leg horn hens was kinda roosten on the lip of then nesting box with her head down. I left her for a while...thinking maybe she is trying to lay. I went out about 1/2 hr later and she is still there...her comb is a funny color and she let me pick her up...which is wierd they usally run when you get to close. I picked her up and looked her over. I don't see anything. She just acts tired. what to do?/

If her comb is really pale, she may have worms. Did you feel her bottom? eggbound?

Sounds like parasites of some kind.. Have you checked her over for lice or mites? Do you have a wormer available? Search this site for posts by dawg53. He's very knowledgeable about illnesses in particular worms and wormers. Be sure and separate her from the flock right away...keep her in a quiet place. Hang in there!
