HELP! Advice to our Florida family in the track of Hurricane Ian

Pics
In case you are wondering what happens when the shingles come off the roof..................the drywall and insulation falls down and you are left with a huge whole in the ceiling so you can see what us normally the addic........basically, it's not good and it's happening to our master bathroom!!! Oh and we used to live in a gated subdivision.........now the live in a river!!!!!! The roads have about 6 inches of water (half way up a fire hydrant), it's almost to the doors of people's homes. We are luckily in a cul-de-sac and it's not flooded....yet...

I haven't even seen the barn, coop, Lanai, or much because it's dark

Oh boy, that sounds like a lot more damage to the roof than shingles, @Pampered chicken girl !
I hope your family has insurance despite all the problems with insurance in FL right now.

Please be careful of the floodwaters when you leave the house tomorrow. I remember as a young girl down in Naples we got flooded and there were copperheads out in the water along with rafts of fireants, some people had gators in their yards.

Oh dear that just sucks 😟

I am watching the news and they interviewed a lady in Fort Meyers who also has poultry, horses and cattle. She was discussing how they were not supposed to be in the track. She was also saying her barn has held up and the livestock seem ok, but she said there would be a lot of clean up.

So hopefully your place also will be ok, it should be getting light there soon - I will check in later to see any updates. Good luck 💕

How is everything there now??
Please get back soon 🙏

Any update?

By the way, I found a piece of music that fits the situation of the hurricane. Here’s an excerpt of the lyrics:

“I am the storm that is approaching. Provoking black clouds and isolation.”

That probably doesn’t help, but I thought it was funny.

Seriously, is there any update?
Nice music, funny you heard that at this time!

We are all good, busy cleaning up! I will post the pictures and more updates later
