I have some duck eggs in my incubator and it’s only day two. I came to check on them before going to bed and i noticed it has been switched off at the wall. I don’t know how this has happened however think it’s been off for approx. 4-5 hours and incubator temperature was around 16 degrees celsius. Has anyone had any experience of power cuts/broody hens abandoning nests this early into incubation and had success with hatching or is all hope lost.

Don't worry too much, all hope is not lost! Because it was so early in incubation, and for a short time, some of the embryos will probably survive. In fact, eggs can be stored around that temperature for up to a week and still survive. There's a very good chance you will still get some nice ducklings! Just turn the heat back up and try not to let it happen again.
Here's an article on the subject if you want to know more https://www.brinsea.com/Articles/Advice/PowerOff.aspx

Thank you so much for your reply and advice. The incubator is now running and up to temperature and i’m away to bed so will just keep my fingers and toes crossed that i see some development on candling day. Thanks again

No problem! Glad I could help. I hope everything goes well for you and your duckies. Post pictures when they hatch!
