Help! Aggressive Roo when 7 hens added to flock??

Ahhhhhhh its starting to make more sense! gameroos can be notorious determined killers and will not stop once decided, they may have challenged him and hes decided they need to go. or mistake them for cockerels if theyre large combed whateverway it's doubtful they'll survive left whith him dump the hens or dump the roo doubtful they'll work it out I advise a new roo.

Missed the number in the heading. I was going by your comment on flock size going from 19 to 21. If it is indeed 7 hens that is a totally different story. Time for him to go if you want to keep the new hens.

I was afraid of that. I guess that was too many ladies for him! Haha

I agree. Like I said he adopted us so I’m not worried about removing him for my ladies.
I’ll try on my own this time and hopefully won’t have a strang roo adopt us again.

We actually just spent five weeks picking out a new cockeral for our girls only to have to rescue a large male dumped on our street a week later DX he was very sweet but the ratio was off and we adore our current boy so we Found a family who also needed a new guard roo for theire feathered ladies

The new ones are a mix of breeds. Barred rock, black sex link, red sex link, Rhode Island Red, golden lace, a blue Andalusian, and white leghorn.
