Help!! Are my chicks sick? They make yawning motions and tiny sneeze

Since you are using pine not cedar, that sounds good. It could very well just be the dust they are reacting to. Since you have no nasal discharge or watery eyes, at this point I would just keep an eye on them and not worry too much.

Good luck and keep us posted on those cute babies.

Will do, thank you so much!

Where in CA are you located? I was born and raised in the Bay Area and only moved from there to the NW a few months ago.

We are North of Sacto. Near Chico.

I have some good friends in your neck of the woods. Very pretty area. Nice to meet you.

Hi... Owner of 4, 5 week old chicks. Same symptoms as your original post. Just one of my girls though and she seems very weak. Any other suggestions? So worried!

I have buff chicks also they are about 4 weeks I use news paper for bedding and change it 2 times a day one of them is doing the same thing opening its mouth every few minutes but seems to be OK other then that. I am trying to let them out in one side of the coop to get used to the other older chickens during the day and boy the chickens are wanting to get to them chicks big time.I had one of the big chickens get that problem with yarning and it was Gurgling and sneezing So I bought vetRx and injeted it down its mouth for about a week or 2 and it cleared up just fine. We feed them high quality feed.
