HELP!!!! ASAP!!!!!!!6/17/2014 catuion graphioc pics

Those wounds could be cleaned out with some weak betadine or hibiclens, and sprayed out with a kitchen hose to get out any bacteria deep inside. Then dry well and apply a plain antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin or Bacitracin. Since the wounds are deep, infection may be a problem, and antibiotic use with meat birds is controversial. PenicillinG for injection can be found at most feed stores. Aspirin 80 mg low dose can be given for pain twice a day. Is there any way that a rat or raccoon got into the coop?

no I have it completely enclosed, and what dose should I give of the antibiotics. I am not worried about what others think of giving it to them. they may be meat birds but I don't plan on eating them, these birds are for my flock and to get eggs off of. Now I know meat birds want produce lots of eggs but they will produce some. I cant kill what I have raised :)

Neosporin and other ointments sometimes come with a "pain relief" ingredient such as benzocaine--if there is anything with -caine, you should avoid it in chickens because they can be toxic in large enough doses.
I have put neosproin with pain killers on them and it actually makes them feel better.

the penicillin G the feed store says they don't know how much or if I can give this to a chicken my only local vet doesn't deal in poultry so can u please tell me how much do I inject and where do I inject it
