I have a 2 month old pekin duck and he has been super healthy and active but overnight he started throwing up and later that morning. We think he might of had too much to eat the night before. His bedding needed changing because he splashed so much water. Seems like their might have gotten mold spores and gave him a slight respiratory issue. He doesn’t want to eat much but drinks water, his breathing seems a little strange. We got some VetRX earlier today and that seemed to help a little.

If anyone knows what illness he has or how it happened I need answers ASAP please!!!

Ducklings & young ducks can have this problem if they drink cold water or to much water all at once. They overfill their crop, and can vomit if it's pressed or they push on it.

You mentioned mold. Infection from mold (brooder pneumonia) is very dangerous. If he does have brooder pneumonia, I have to be honest and tell you the odds are very low. Ducklings and chicks that catch it get a very weakened immune system, and if they do recover from it will be sick on and off for the rest of their lives. Its why it's extremely important to clean the pen/brooder daily or every other day.

I would start by giving electrolytes, probiotics and antibiotics. Make sure he's warm and in a sterile environment. Clean frequently.

You can also go to an avian vet, which would be your best bet here.

@Isaac 0 is extremely knowledgeable on ducks and can also help here.
