I have a small (silkie or bantam mix maybe) egg that I can’t find anything to answer my question. It’s one of 3 that pipped but had stopped chirping. My humidity was low so I gave them each a tiny breathing hole (just chipped pip point carefully) - this one had a drop of fluid come out. So I double checked, sure enough had pipped below the air cell. Wasn’t making any chirps any longer so I opened a hole above air cell. Membrane came w it. No blood, one drop. Veins look small and translucent. Gave him about 5 hours and went back. I can see movement of breath but no beak.
can he still breathe even if mis positioned? I put that egg on a wet paper towel to up humidity. The other two are resting and cheering away.
I’m assuming he is still resting.
I can see a very dark spot and light area (yolk sac?) when I candle the other side.
I believe I’m seeing a wing on the opening I made and chest moving. But his beak is not near the opening that I can find.
any advice appreciated. This is my first hatch (obviously)
