sorry i didnt reply back his head looks fine just mixed up food sugar water and getting ready to medicine droper

give three drops of the polyvisol a day... one drop at a time
I also suggest (even if the head is now ok) that you get some wheatgerm oil (which will provide several micronutriets) or if at all possible AviaCharge 2000 (you can get this online from McMurray or Strombergs) and add to their feed.

Ok I went today and looked for polyvisol. Couldn't find it with out iron. But i found some vitamin b liquid it said it was for the nervous system and gives energy. So i'm helping that it works. I deluded it. we will see she just acts like she is still in the egg. Let you know if any changes

This morning She was acting almost like a regular one. But still had her head lower half way up and was laying stretched out and not curled up. But to night she is curled back up but not like she was not as tight if you understand what i'm saying. Its like she is just hanging her head down instead of being between her legs. She was hatched at friday morn around 2am I think if she makes it to tuesday maybe she will make it

Whatcha think? Thanks again so much And my three kids say thank you too. we all wake up and come and check. If she does go. I hope me are the olelady gets her first. I let ya'll know

If they are in the shell for a while trying to hatch, it can put pressure on the neck and head and in silkies, especially, that can cause wry neck. It can also be caused by a bump on the head.

If it makes you feel any better, I had one silkie chick that developed the same issues after getting pecked on the head. It took about a week, but eventually she worked it out and is now 9 months old and running around out in the chicken pen with the others.

She still has a 'tic' from time to time where she jerks her head from side to side but she gets around just fine.
