Hi all!
I am new to the chicken world, we just purchased 3 Rhode Island Reds, and 2 Ameraucanas yesterday. I am sure they are just a few days old. We have noticed that one of our Ameraucanas is panting quite frequently and breathing a bit quicker than the others. She is eating and drinking well, her bottom looks clean, and she seems to be moving around, not lethargic. She is also laying under the light and doesn't seem to be trying to stay away from the heat. I added 1/4 tablespoon of ACV to one quart of water in hopes that this will give her a boost if she is ill. Is this common? Could she just be nervous from all of the change? Any advice is appreciated!! Thanks!!
